If you highlight just one point, which sparked an AHA moment, and then explain how you understand it, your comment can help explain that point to other readers, and help them arrive at their own AHA moment. 
As Amber wrote, there are many metrics, none of which is a stand-alone. Being a repeat reader (or visitor), is one of the metrics one can use to define loyalty of his readers. 
Google analytics provides a breakdown of website visitors New Vs. Returning. People like you, who come and read blogs more than once, make the website/blog owner very happy, and shows real reader-engagement. </description>
