Announcing Chatter Stacks in the Engagement Console
Team and organizational collaboration are key pieces of every business success – that is an indisputable fact. But finding the most effective and efficient ways to collaborate can be an exercise in frustration, especially at an enterprise level. Enter Chatter, a Salesforce.com platform that allows people across organizations to easily collaborate on every level, across the entire company and within individual groups, on an ongoing basis. To help make collaboration even more seamless, we’ve integrated Chatter into the Engagement Console to bring you Chatter stacks.
Our motivation for Chatter stacks is the ability this integration gives users to monitor and participate in multiple key conversations across the social web and important internal conversations. Seeing these internal and external idea threads, questions and discussions side by side will help you connect the dots between what’s important to your customers and community and what that means for your business.
What is a Chatter stack?
Similar to Facebook and Twitter stacks, a Chatter stack is a personal stack that you can flow into your Engagement Console that will show you your personal and group feeds from Chatter.
Along with being able to post messages to groups and individuals, you can also view a list of users within your organization, follow or un-follow users, view a list of groups available to you and join or leave groups. You can also comment on existing conversations and view complete threads of those conversations.
What Else do I Need to Know?
Radian6 users who are using the Engagement Console and Chatter will be able to use the Chatter stack integration, and loading a Chatter stack is as simple as loading a Twitter or Facebook stack (in fact, it’s exactly the same process).
Having this internal collaboration platform available next to your social media outreach efforts can be invaluable for developing ideas for new projects, sharing interesting and useful information and speeding up overall engagement with your external community and internal teams. The real benefit here is being able to streamline your communications workflow and make all the channels you need access to available in a single platform.
We’re excited to make this feature available to you and hope that once you get started using it you’ll tell us if you find it useful and how it’s helped you do business. Since it’s a new feature, feel free to leave us any questions you have in the comments and we’ll make sure to get the answers you need.
