The Brands that Dominated the Social Media Conversation at #CES2012

With CES 2012 wrapping up today, we took a quick look at which electronics brands and products received the most social media mentions this week. Looking at the conversation around CES from Monday through Thursday, the most-mentioned brands were Samsung, with 20,835 mentions, Microsoft, with 19,668 mentions, and Sony, with 18,849 mentions.
Interestingly, the brands with the most mentions were the ones that had significant spikes in conversation, compared to the brands that received fewer social media mentions.
We also drilled into the brand mentions to identify the products that drove the social media buzz for each brand. Here are some of the most talked about products at CES 2012, including many that we covered previously in this post:
Some of the most talked about products at CES also received recognition from the Best of CES Awards 2012. The Nokia Lumia 900 received the most mentions (7,971) and came away with Best Smartphone. Another notable winner near the top of the list was the LG OLED TV, which was awarded this year’s Best Television and Best of Show.
