Sales Engineer

VP, Sales Engineering will work closely with Regional Sales VPs to understand their account mix and sales opportunities in order to develop a Sales Engineering team best suited to that region. Position location is open.
Summary of Role:
The Sales Engineer works with the VP Strategic Corporate Sales on new and existing accounts.
Core Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:
- Understand customer goals and challenges and establish Radian6’s product as the best solution available.
- Participate in the development and delivery of differentiated custom solutions and presentations, including advanced technical concepts, to key decision makers to address their business issues and needs delivery, in an effective and timely manner, on RFI / RFPs orchestrating a technical sales cycle which requires involvement of multiple resources.
- Build and present customized demonstrations. Present Radian6 technology infrastructure, including demonstrating deep familiarity with hardware, software, networking and security stack.
- Participate in all product, sales, and process training and certification to acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to be effective.
- Attain quarterly and annual objectives assigned by management.
- Respond effectively to RFPs.
- North America travel required.
Education/Experience
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or MIS. An MBA would be considered an asset.3-5 years
- Experience as a sales engineer or previous experience working with applications in a customer facing role.
Skills/Qualifications
- Ability to work as part of a team to solve business and technical problems in varied political environments.
- Solid verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven time management skills in a dynamic sales environment.
- Knowledge of related applications, relational databases, and web technology.
- Basic programming experience in HTML and other web based technologies
