VP, Agency Sales

Location: Any Major US Metro Area

Radian6 has a successful and growing agency client business.  With over 1000 clients ranging from global communications and creative agencies to emerging interactive firms and everything in between this sector is a strategic for Radian6.  Clients use Radian6 to provide social media insight, engagement and counsel to their clients.  This creates new opportunities for them and is an important part of their client offering.

Radian6 is searching for a leader to grow and manage our successful agency sales business. This new role, VP – Agency Sales,  will lead Radian6’s business development initiatives with creative, PR and interactive agencies. In addition to managing a team of business development and account managers the VP –Agency Sales will provide strategy and guidance on our marketing and product approach to this sector.

The successful candidate will have 15 plus years of increasing responsibility in sales and business development with creative and communications clients.  The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of the global agency landscape and will come from the marketing technology, media or research industries.  In addition to a proven track record in sales the candidate will be able to translate market needs for product development, marketing and executive.  Proven ability to build and manage successful teams is crucial.

This role will be based in a major market with a concentration of clients such as New York, Chicago or Los Angeles.

Core Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to build/implement/influence the agency sales strategy to capture global market share.
  • Responsible for executing annual planning and optimization, quotas and headcount planning.
  • Ensure the right sales strategies and plans meet the changing market and competitive conditions
  • Drive rigorous sales execution and oversight, ensuring accurate forecasts and transparency
  • Build relationships with key customers
  • Drive big deals with value selling and competitive intelligence

Education/Experience

  • MBA degree
  • 15+ years of progressively responsible sales experience.
  • Proven experience selling marketing technology, research or media to creative and communications agencies.
  • At least five years managing a sales team or business.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Understands the agency business model and how they become successful.
  • Able to communicate how technology can add value to an agencies’ client offering.
  • Well developed network of contacts within the industry.
  • Appreciates how Social Media is changing marketing.
  • Able to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire credibility and leadership
  • Prior global experience in a sales leadership role
  • Strong analytical and decision making skills
  • Customer service and results driven leader
  • Excellent team leader and builder
  • Excellent executive presence, ability to drive adoption and credibility with senior leadership
